Creativity in the Board Room
December 2013
Emerging community leader, Steph Wallace, was the guest speaker for the December function.
A graduate of Committee for Ballarat's Leaders Forum with Leadership Ballarat and Western Region, Steph has been developing her true passion in community strengthening and well-being.
Steph has been involved in art education and also established a new gallery in Ballarat. She is one third of the ‘Pop-Up Co’ a non-profit initiative developing the economic capacity of creative entrepreneurs and micro-manufacturers in the region through innovative retail experiences.
Steph endeavours to bridge the great divide between creative and traditional industries within Ballarat and the Central Highlands, to assist in realising the full potential of the vibrant and thriving Ballarat we all love.
Steph's presentation challenged Connect members about the role and importance of creativity and fun in the workplace. And true to her word and philosophy, Steph encouraged Connect members to utilise their creativity by trying out screen printing and lino cutting. And some great Christmas cards were the result.
And all this was happening while we enjoyed High Tea and celebrated the end of the year
