Changing Role of the Office Professional
June 2013

Over the past ten years or so, developing and changing office and social technology has had a huge impact on the role of Executive Assistants, Personal Assistants and Office Professionals and their relationship with their Managers or CEOs

For example, most CEOs and Managers are now more computer and technology- savvy and often manage their own emails, diaries, travel and appointments through their personal computers, tablets, smart phones or other technology.

Some even type much of their own correspondence.

However, such changes in the respective roles of Manager and Office Professionals also provide a wonderful opportunity for you to add value to the business or organisation in other areas or ways.

At the June Connect Networking workshop, Organisational change consultant, Julie Warnock, discussed ways EAs/PAs/Office Professionals can develop new or changed skill sets, identify new organisational roles in the context of technical changes, and continue to maximise their contribution to the business.
